Structure–Properties Relationship for Polyolefin Materials


Dr. Takumitsu Kida mainly studies about the structure–properties relationships for polyolefin materials.

Recently, we have investigated the following topics:

  1. Influences of molecular weight and its distribution on morphology and mechanical properties for polyolefins.
  2. Microscopic deformation mechanism of polyolefins under a uniaxial stretching process using Raman spectroscopy.
  3. Flow-Induced crystallization behavior of polymer materials.
  4. Development of evaluation method of degradation behavior of polymers using IR and Raman spectroscopy.
  5. Synthesis and mechanical analysis of cyclic olefin copolymer (COC).
